“I’M AN ARCHITECT”
In reviewing the history while happily ensconced in the present, many of us share the warmth of community and its diverse lifestyles. Both the rich and famous and the quiet contributors to our culture contribute to the essence of London Terrace. Yes, it is, and had been the home of such notables as Annie Leibowitz, Susan Sontag, David Chase, Lorraine Bracco, Debbie Harry, a list of fashion designers too long to mention, as well as the handful of neighbors included here. But our little city is also comprised of so many of us who were gravitated to the building unknowingly, only to learn over the years the sense of community that flourishes here.
To me, it’s best exemplified by this photo of one of the lifeguards helping a longtime resident continue to swim despite her infirmities. This had been an ongoing tradition for several years. Our residents and owners comprise a vast diversity of ages, lifestyles, and notoriety but the beauty is in that we are one.
Celebrating the past, present and future foundation of London Terrace I thank you for contributing to its legacy and invite you to share your stories with me for the next issue of London Terrace Life Magazine.
